Oh!

I've been meaning to share this with you all, but here is a little "sneak peak" picture I took of a canvass that I painted Mr. Raybourn at Ariel's house a couple of weeks ago! I'll try to take a picture of the entire thing next time I get a chance. I love making him, or anybody, things! I always think of cute cheesy things to make him, such as this painting. It was a lot of fun though!

Maybe my place is open to chill.

Today was sort of productive; I'm proud of myself! After working for a little while, me and my brother, Spencer, went to Jones (Jones County Junior College) to pick up our parking decals for our cars and to try to find where our classes are going to be so that way we wouldn't be too terribly lost on our first day! I'm still kind of nervous about it, seeing that this campus is so much larger than the non-existent campus at my high school, but I'm sure I'll be fine! Anyways! After we got through with Jones, we had some brother-sister bonding time ;] we went to McDonald's and I got a Reese McFlurry and Spencer got an Iced Mocha Latte, which he swears by. It was nice :]

Tonight me and Mr. Raybourn are having a date night! We're heading to Hattiesburg when he gets off work and going to buy my some school supplies (I love school supply shopping!) and then try out Baker's Burgers and try to see Inception! I'm excited!

Happy Weekend!

Reason # 5,792

This is reason # 5,792 of why Mr. Raybourn finds a special place in my heart. He knows what will "make my heart smile". I believe that he was on his way with his friends to Hattiesburg and sent me this picture completely unexpected. All I could do was laugh :D

I'm kind of sad because Summer is almost over, I can't believe it. Pretty soon I'll be back to writing papers and studying almost every night. I've gotten too used to this lazy mindset of mine. I am excited about the new college atmosphere I'll be in and all the new people I will meet, but not about the work.... On the bright side, Fall is my absolute favorite season and I know it is just around the corner. That will lead too Christmas time which is magical in so many ways; Christmas lights everywhere, apple cider, snow (maybe), and joyful spirits. Ohh how I love it so :] at least there are things to look forward too that make me over look school work sometimes!

Anywho! I hope you have a great rest of your day!

Hey long lost friend..

If you haven't figured it out yet, this is my long lost friend, Kimber :D isn't she the most adorable thing that you've ever seen in your life? Oh yeah, and she's getting married August 13th! Since her fiancee wasn't with us last night, I decided to just take pictures of her because I love her. Kimber and I have been the best of friends since 10th grade (pretty inseparable in school) and I haven't even really seen her since graduation! So we had a fun night out downtown last night, even thought it rained on us majorly, we had a blast!

Downtown is definitely my favorite part of Laurel, there is something magical about it that is hard to describe. We said that we're going to have to make going and eating at Lee's Coffee & Tea and taking pictures a "summer tradition" because we did this last summer as well. Don't you just love catching up with old friends?

Happy Wednesday!

Embarrassed..

I have some terribly embarrassing news.. The pictures above are really the only pictures that I took of me and Mr. Raybourn cooking Saturday! We were so busy cooking and eating our delicious food that I became consumed with that and forgot all about taking more pictures! I am so sorry! But we didn't have enough energy after cooking our big meal and cleaning up to make our cupcakes, so I will try my hardest to take pictures of that! Anyways, our cheesy chicken casserole was absolutely delicious and super easy to make. This is the receipt that we used:

  • 1 can (10 3/4 ounces) Campbell's® Condensed Cream of Chicken Soup (Regular, 98% Fat Free or Healthy Request®)
  • 1 1/3 cups water
  • 3/4 cup uncooked regular long-grain white rice
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 cups frozen mixed vegetables
  • 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast half (about 1 pound)
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Directions:
  1. Heat the oven to 375°F. Stir the soup, water, rice, onion powder, black pepper and vegetables in a 2-quart shallow baking dish.

  2. Top with the chicken. Cover the baking dish.

  3. Bake for 50 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the rice is tender. Top with the cheese. Let the casserole stand for 10 minutes. Stir the rice before serving.

I found this receipt online and I definitely think you all should try it! Really, it's the easiest thing and super yummy.

Braxton surprised me with this amazing vase Saturday! I absolutely adore it! He knows my taste very well. Him and his mom went shopping Saturday morning and he saw it while he was out and about it got it for me. Such a thoughtful guy I have :]

I'll be back a little later with "Inspirational Monday"! Yay!

I can't believe I forgot to tell!

A couple of weeks ago I threw Braxton a surprise birthday party! He's a complete Star Wars fan, so what other theme could I have gone with for this 20 year old? :] he was completely surprised! I was so excited that all his friends showed up and that everyone seemed to have a good time. Of course light sabers were broken out and light saber duels were everywhere, but it was a lot of fun. The cake was magical and absolutely perfect. I couldn't have done it without the help of his sister and his mom and of course everyone for helping me keep it a secret!

That last picture is one of my favorites of the night, so funny :D

Birthday parties are way more fun than I remembered, but they are a lot of work! Especially surprise ones, but they are completely worth the look the loved one gets on their face when they realize what's going on. I highly recommend them.
Tonight's the night that me and Mr. Raybourn are cooking! Wish us luck! As for now, I'll feed my addiction (and try to take in tips) for Food Network.

Happy Saturday!
