Happy Days

The weather has been absolutely amazing here these past few days! It makes me want to sit outside and do everything! I opened my windows, let my new music fill the air, and crocheted the day away a few times. It's such a rare thing to have nice, tolerable weather in the deep south so we always take advantage of it when it does come! (or at least I try too!)

I know you all are probably sick of hearing about this but Anchor & Sparrows debut is in two days! I am over the top happy! I hope that we do good! I know me and Gabby have been working so hard trying to get prepared for this. We were a late entry so we've had to kick it into overdrive to get enough of our products out to have a good amount of goodies for people to choose from. A lot of love has went into each thing that I have made! And I'm pretty sure I can say the same for Gabby.

Also, my mom's ring finally came in! I had to get it re-sized because it was wayyy to little for my finger, but I'm so happy to get it back! It's so special to me. It's an opal stone in the shape of a teardrop and set in this beautiful lace gold. Iwuvit :]

Here's to hoping for a magical weekend!

Easy like a Sunday morning

This weekend has seemed to have flown by. Maybe because I have been super busy all weekend long! Friday night I was sewing up a storm with Josie. I made my first skirt and I love it! That's Josie's sewing machine, isn't it beautiful? It was her grandmother's, so of course it's super special to her.

Anndddd ta-da! The finished product! Eep! I'm so proud of it! I can't wait to try to tackle my next project: making a dress!

Inspiration for my dress will be the nautical theme! I'm completely in love with nautical things lately. So, I'm going to try to make a cute sailor dress all my own :]

Less than a week to Loblolly! I hope to see all of you there! Please stop by the Anchor & Sparrow booth and say hey to me and Gabby! We would be so happy!
P.S.- I now have an email dedicated to "work" (anchor & sparrow) so if you have an request for an order or anything of that nature feel free to email me at kaylabee.xo@gmail.com! I'd love to make something just for you!
Have a great week!

Oh brother.....

So Spencer decided to jail break my iPod and his phone all at the same time. He was pretty happy about what he accomplished. He has been begging me for forever to jail break my iPod and I finally broke down and let him go for it! shhhh

Tonight isn't any different from any other night except for the fact that I'm going to try to teach myself how to embroidery what I crochet! Hopefully it won't be too hard, because I have some adorable ideas!

I hope you've had a great Thursday!

Happy Autumn!

I am so happy that this day has finally come! A surprise blog update and the first day of my favorite season! This is what my wonderful friend Kacey made for me (again) and she thought of the coolest idea! To have a different header for every season! I thought that was so cute! I absolutely adore this! I am so lucky to have such a talented friend! It was really hard keeping this a secret for so long because I've been wanting to put it up for about a month now but I had to wait patiently!

Happy Autumn!
It's time for beautiful clothes, trees, weather, and having some delicious pumpkin spice drinks! Such a happy time!

Anchor & Sparrow

I have been hard at work these past few weeks making as many crocheted items as physically possible. I bring yarn with me everywhere I go in case I get some down town I can whip out my yarn and start making something! It really helps the time between classes fly by, even though I might look like a granny :) The Loblolly Festival is only two Saturdays away! I can't believe it's already here pretty much! These pictures are just kind of a "sneak peak" of my goodies! Foreal pictures are coming later, but I said that I would try to keep you guys updated! I can't wait to see what all Gabby has created!

I am obsessed with my new Instax camera! I love it! Even though it's taught me how much I take my digital slr for granted. You make sure every photo counts when each photo cost you money! But I love it, nonetheless.

And this is my little adorable photo "journal" that I'm going to put them in! I thought it was pretty perfect for them! I know I will be asking for film for my birthday that is coming up! I'm a little too snap happy.

In Love!

Mr. Raybourn bought me a sewing machine as an early birthday present! Am I not the luckiest gal in the world?? It's just the one I wanted too! I can't wait to get started on making lovely things! And yes, this is my first sewing machine I've ever been able to call my own! I was practically in tears when I saw it in front of me, knowing it was mine. I know what I'll be doing all day Sunday! swooon

Also, my Instax camera came in! I'm just surrounded by goodies! I feel as if it's an early Christmas! I have the perfect little book that I'm going to use as a "photo album" for these cute pictures! Eep!

I will definitely be a busy little bee again this weekend! I have a double date with my sister Friday (which I'm absolutely ecstatic about!), football game to shoot Saturday--speaking of which, I took Braxton's sister, Madison, pictures for her to turn in for "most photogenic" today and it was so much fun!--and then creating lovely things for the business Sunday! It's going to be an amazing jammed packed weekend!

P.S. I have red hair now! I'll try to take some pictures to show you!

Obessesion

(all images via weheartit)
I have been completely overcome with the obsession of having red hair lately! (The first one is my favorite shade of red) I hope to one day have it that color, even for just a little while :)

Tonight I will be busying myself with nothing but headbands! The countdown to the festival is beginning already! Gabby and I are trying our hardest for this to be the best thing ever! I can't express how excited I am, which I'm sure you already knew that! We're so thrilled for this to actually be happening for us, it really is a blessing.

I hope to keep you posted on our progress!
Happy Weekend!

Exciting Things...

I just thought I would drop by really quick and let you all know what exciting things have been going on in my life! I'm officially business partners with Gabby Mooney of Anchor & Sparrow! I am so excited! We're going to have a booth at the Loblolly Festival in the adorable downtown Laurel on October 2nd! We will be selling our headbands and other handmade goodies! I don't think I've ever been more excited in my life! It seems that my dreams are slowly starting to happen! We have a lot of work to do considering we have less that a month to get ready for the festival. We're hoping that if the festival goes well that we'll be able to attend other craft shows and such! Eep! I hope to see so many stop by our booth, so tell your friends! It's a fun way to spend a Saturday in October, I promise.

A very busy bee,

Puppies!

Mr. Raybourn's step-brother's chocolate lab, Ann, had puppies a few days ago! She had nine precious puppies and even though their eyes aren't open yet, I'm already in love with them! They just such bundles of joy already! I can't wait until they get old enough for me to play with!

And I did a little painting of an owl just for fun! I thought it turned out pretty well. The sides of it say "Owl love you forever" Painting is just something that I love to do to relax, it's a great creative outlet.

I hope you're Tuesday has been great!

Lovely Weekend

My Labor Day weekend couldn't have been better, I'm sad I have to go back to reality tomorrow. I saw all my sweet friends, along with making new ones.

We saw Corbin do stand up for the first time at a local coffee house and bookstore, Jitters, and he is amazing! I hope he goes far, when he becomes famous, I'll have to remind him who took all his promotional pictures when he was a "nobody" :]

Along with having fun with friends, Saturday I learned how to sew! I am so happy about this! It's not as hard as I thought it was going to be, but I did get frustrated a few times. Aunt Paula taught me everything she knew (in a crash course) and I'm super happy about the out come. I have a few pictures I snapped from my phone, but I promise I'll try to take better "real" pictures later!

It's a little change purse! I am so proud of them! I can't wait to get a sewing machine of my own and just make all of these creations that I have flowing through my head! Ariel gave me a bunch of vintage fabric that her grandmother used to use for making quilts and I am very thankful for that generous gift. I definitely couldn't make anything without fabric!

I hope that you have had a lovely Labor Day weekend as well!

Hippies

I'm in total love with this headband! I made it for Ariel for Decades Day at her high school Friday; her class is being hippies. She asked me for help coming up with something to wear and of course I took it and ran. I got my inspiration for the headband from this lovely lady.

We bought a white dress and I let her borrow my yellow moccasins to tie the whole outfit together! I was really please with the way it turned out! The girl in the picture used real flowers, but I just bought fake sunflowers from Walmart because I knew they would need to last for a few days. It was a super easy, fun project though! I really hope it works well for her! I thought it was a nice alternative to the normal "stretchy headband, tie-died t-shirt, peace sign" even though a peace sign still might have to be thrown in there somewhere :)

I have an exciting Saturday coming up with Aunt Paula! She's teaching me all her tips and tricks for sewing and I couldn't be happier about this! I told her all of my ideas tonight and she's thinks they're great and we're going to try to tackle them all Saturday! I feel like jumping for joy! :D

I hope your weekend is great!
